South Bruce OPP report motorcycle collision; and impaired speeder
POLICE SEEK WITNESSES AFTER MOTORCYCLE COLLISION
(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) - June 7, at 1:56 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a single motor vehicle collision on Bruce County Road 3, between Brant-Elderslie Townline and Concession 2A, in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.
On arrival, officers observed that a motorcycle had left the roadway. A 63-year-old rider was transported to hospital with injuries. Bruce County Road 3 was closed until approximately 4:30 p.m. as a result.
Police are requesting any witnesses to this event, to contact the South Bruce OPP, including anyone with dash camera or in-car camera footage.
SPEED AND IMPAIRMENT DON'T MIX
(BROCKTON, ON) - June 8, at 7:21 a.m., a member of the South Bruce OPP was conducting radar enforcement along Bruce County Road 4 in the Municipality of Brockton.
A vehicle was stopped after it was observed travelling in excess of 110 km/h in a posted 70 km/h zone. The investigating officer spoke to the driver and detected signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and transported for further testing.
Rohdel LEMON, 26, of Cambridge, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired - B.A.C. 80 plus, CC 320.14(1)(b)
- Drive motor vehicle - perform stunt, HTA 172(1)
The accused is set to appear July 16, at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charges.
