​Jane Emberlin, formerly of Lucknow, remembered for her wonderful, subtle sense of humour
Jane Isabel Emberlin (nee Finlayson), formerly of Lucknow, died peacefully, June 11, 2025, at the age of 80.

Beloved wife of the late Paul Emberlin, formerly of Lucknow.

Daughter of the late Gordon and Dorothy Finlayson of Lochalsh.

Beloved sister of Barbara Rogerson, Rod Finlayson (Jeanie), Judith Finlayson, Alan Finlayson (Gerry Pitts), Carol Finlayson (John Balch), Ian Finlayson (Christina), Duncan Finlayson (Laura), and Ken Finlayson (Susan).

Dear sister-in-law of Roy Emberlin (Betty), Wendy Gardner (Ken), John Emberlin, Joy Jurjens (Lou), and Mary McGlynn (Rick). Special aunt of many nieces, nephews, and grands.

Predeceased by her brother, William Finlayson; and siblings-in-law, Doug Emberlin (Dorothy), Denny Emberlin (Marie), and Ruth Emberlin.

Jane had a wonderful and subtle sense of humour and was always a willing partner to play a card game with the youngsters. They loved her.

She worked for many years at the Bank of Canada in Toronto. In her retirement, she volunteered for several years at a seniors home and enjoyed painting, sewing, reading, and more.

A memorial service will be held at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Noon, followed by interment at Lochalsh Cemetery, and a reception at the Lucknow Legion Hall.

We wish to thank the many people who cared for Jane toward the end of her life. They all considered her a pleasant and grateful patient and she treated them with the dignity they deserved.

Rest in peace, dear Jane.
