Kelly Scheel of Kincardine remembered for her love of family, and being generous and kind-hearted
Kelly Ann Scheel of Kincardine died after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, in her 58th year.

Beloved wife of Brad, and dear mother of Benjamin (Sarah) of Kincardine, and Rachel of London.

Kelly will be greatly missed by her mother-in-law, Caryl Scheel of Kincardine; sister-in-law, Ruthanne (Dave) Powell of London; nephews, Morgan (Haylee) and Andrew (Daniela); and many friends.

Predeceased by her parents, Cyril and Veronica (nee Kelly) Parkinson; sister, Linda Coughlan; and father-in-law, Merrell Scheel.

Anyone who knew Kelly would describe her as a generous and kind-hearted person, always looking out for others before considering herself. This was reiterated countless times by visitors during her final stay in the Kincardine Hospital.

She had a knack for giving the best gifts, finding the best deal, or simply offering a helping hand.

Kelly was a woman of incredible strength and selflessness, always putting the needs of her family first. It was often discussed she was the “backbone” of her family. Whether it was a family gathering, a quiet moment together, or just offering her support and care, she made sure they all knew they were loved and valued. Family wasn’t just important to Kelly, it was everything to her.

Throughout her journey with cancer, Kelly exhibited incredible strength, grace, and resilience. Despite the challenges, she faced each day with a smile and a positive attitude, never once allowing her circumstances to dampen her spirit. Her selflessness in the face of adversity inspired all who knew her, and her legacy will live on in the love and strength she instilled in those around her.

July 26, 2025, a private family interment will be held in the Kincardine Cemetery, followed by a public luncheon in Kelly’s honour to celebrate her life. Details on the celebration of life to be provided.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.
