“Top of the Hill” is next print in Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary fund-raiser
“Top of the Hill,” by Canadian painter Fred Haines, is the next print in the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary's Art/Easel Program fund-raiser, on display at Sobeys Kincardine.
This is a beautiful landscape picture of the coniferous trees that are able to survive and grow on a rocky hill top. Haines was born in Meaford, Ontario, and became an accomplished and versatile artist, using watercolours and oils.
The second print on display at Sobeys, is entitled, “Sunglass Mutt.” This is a licensed print of a dog and cat inside an old-school Volkswagen van, driving on a beach. The artist, Connie Raye, is best known for featuring playful paintings of dogs and cats in various unusual situations, such a riding motorcycles or driving vehicles or hanging out in coffee shops.
The print at the Kincardine Hospital is entitled, “”The Journey Back” by Indigenous artist Carla Joseph.
The print at Rona Kincardine is entitled, “Rush 50th Anniversary Album Collage.”
The print at Boston Pizza in Kincardine is entitled, “Johnny Cash – San Quentin.”
The starting bid for each print is $215, and they are on display until Thursday, July 17.
