Impaired driver arrested at RIDE check in Walkerton

(WALKERTON, ON) - July 4, at approximately 1:20 a.m., the South Bruce OPP was conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) check along Durham Street East in Walkerton.

A vehicle entered the area where police then spoke with the driver. The investigating officer detected signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported for further testing.

Robert TEMPLETON, 24, of Cambridge, was charged with Operation while impaired - B.A.C. 80-plus, CC 320.14(1)(b).

The accused is set to appear Aug. 13, at the Walkerton Court of Justice to answer to the charges.
