St. Anthony’s School celebrates Grade 8 graduation at the school
The St. Anthony’s School Class of 2025 celebrated its Grade 8 graduation, June 24, with a prayer service, ceremony and presentation of awards, all held at the school for the first time since the addition was completed, followed by a reception and dance.
During the ceremony, speeches were given by the principal and valedictorians Violet Davaze and Jove Gabor.
The Grade 8 certificates were given out, and the following awards were presented:
- Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board Academic Excellence and Catholic Values Award – Jove Gabor
- Catholic Women's League Award for Christian Living – Jove Gabor and Benjamin Kim
- Knights of Columbus Athlete of the Year Awards – Ciara McGinn and Jackson Mogk
- Pastor's Award – Jove Gabor
- Law Offices of Andrea Clarke Valedictorian Award – Violet Davaze and Jove Gabor
- Arts Award – Felicia Smith
- French as a Second Language Award – Olivia Waites
- Principal's Language Arts Award – Fay Ngunangwa
- Most Improved in Math Award – Porcia Payette
- Most Improved in Music Award – Brayden Craddock
- Science Award – Violet Davaze
- Catholic School Community Award – Ciara McGinn
- School Spirit Award – Milena Ferreira
- Tiverton Lions Outstanding Effort Award – Zoey Sweeney
- Engineering Inspiration award, presented by the Kinetic Knights (FRC Team 781) – Colden Dalton
- Prix d'excellence en Francais – Violet Davaze
- Canadian Studies Award – Cullen MacKinnon
- Tiverton Lions Club Proficiency in Music Award – Violet Davaze
