Kincardine Legion Corner
Mark McElroy of Kincardine won $994 in this week’s
Catch the Ace draw. He chose Envelope No. 18 which contained the Five of Spades. So, the Ace of Spades remains hidden and we move into Week 6. Don’t forget we go live with the draw each Wednesday at 4 p.m., so come down to the Legion clubroom and join the fun. This is a good spot to remind everyone that anyone from the public can come to the Legion, meet some friends for food and refreshments, attend any of our many events and fund-raisers, play billiards or shuffleboard, and so much more. While we love welcoming new members, membership is not required to drop by the Legion for some fun. Drop in sometime and say hi!
The
Mega Meat Draw was a great success, Saturday afternoon. We had fantastic music from TNT Boom, and some delicious food by Braden of The Tusk Express Kitchen, assisted by Lisa and Jon Shaw. Thanks to everyone for attending and to those who donated raffle prizes. Definitely some people went home happy with Cookie’s blankets in their arms. We ended up with 16 meat prizes, and they were all won by 16 different people, with no double-dippers at all. The 50/50 draw was won by Helen Furnivall who took home $696. Congratulations, Helen!

Just another reminder that we have a wide variety of
medical equipment that we loan out to the community. If you would like to borrow an item, simply reach out to us at 519-396-2372 or at
kinlegion@bmts.com with your needs and we will connect you with the right person to help you. We have walkers, crutches, assistive aids, etc., and we even have a child-sized wheelchair.
If you are interested in the
Darts or Cribbage events this fall, the details are on some pages posted on the bulletin boards in the front hall.
Also, save the date for the

The tournament is $85 per person, with a shotgun start at 2:30 p.m. It includes nine holes plus a cart, and a roast beef dinner back at the Legion. Dinner is at 5:30 p.m. and you can add dinner for a spouse or friend for an additional $25. Register and pay for your team at the Legion Bar, and reach out to Cathy if you have any questions.
