Kincardine Curling Club to mark 150th anniversary with barbecue Sept. 13
The Kincardine Curling Club is one of the oldest in Ontario, established in 1875, and at its current location since 1963.
This year, the club is celebrating 150 years of curling in Kincardine!
In honour of the occasion, everyone is invited to a
pre-registration barbecue, Saturday, Sept. 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the curling rink, 277 Penetangore Row, Kincardine. Cost is $10 per person for a hamburger or hot dog and a soft drink.
Whether you’ve curled before, or haven’t in many a year, this is the opportunity to get on the ice with helpful, fun, local volunteers and give yourself a chance to fall in love with the sport.
Curling in Kincardine is a fantastic way to meet new people, develop new skills, get in a little exercise, and steer clear of the winter blahs. Curling is accessible to people, ages eight and up, and of a variety of skill and fitness levels.
Attend the pre-registration barbecue to find our more about the “Learn to Curl” clinics and league curling which begins at the end of October.
Come tour the facility and enjoy lunch!
