South Bruce OPP report two impaired drivers arrested
CONCERNED MOTORIST REPORTS IMPAIRED DRIVER
(MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH BRUCE, ON) - Aug. 24, at 4:17 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a vehicle parked in a live lane of traffic along Bruce County Road 4 in the Municipality of South Bruce.
Officers attended the location and found the vehicle parked in the southbound lane with no lights on. After conversing with the driver, police detected signs of impairment. The driver was taken into custody and taken to a Drug Recognition Expert officer for further testing.
Daniel McCHLERY, 34, of Wingham, was charged with Operation while impaired, CC 320.14(1)(a).
The accused is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Walkerton, Oct. 22, to answer to the charge.
VEHICLE STOP LEADS TO ARREST
(MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH BRUCE, ON) - Aug. 24, at 11:22 a.m., a member of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team stopped to check a vehicle along Bruce County Road 6 in the Municipality of South Bruce.
A roadside screening device was administered, resulting in a fail. The driver was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the South Bruce OPP detachment for further testing.
Robert REED, 56, of Flesherton, was charged with Operation while impaired - B.A.C. 80-plus, CC 320.14(1)(b).
The accused is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Walkerton, Sept. 10, to answer to the charge.
