Tour of Kincardine raises $1,100 for Kincardine Trails Association
The 2025 Tour of Kincardine Bike Race has raised $,100 for the Kincardine Trails Association.
Organizer Shane Hotchkiss was on hand to present the funds to association chairman Dave Lafortune.
The money will be used to help upgrade and extend Kincardine’s trail system.
The 2026 Tour of Kincardine is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 30. This is a cross-discipline (mostly mountain bike) classic bike race over many of Kincardine’s single-track trails, that are connected by various roads and paths.
There is a short course route (10 kilometres) for beginners and a more challenging long course (33 kilometres). The race is well-known in the Kincardine area, and is developing a reputation in the racing community outside of Kincardine, with several Elite-level provincial riders competing.
If you are a racer, watch for the event on the Ontario Cycling calendar under mountain bike events. Registration will be on-line at CCN Bikes (no race-day registration).
