One dead after collision at intersection in Centralia
(CENTRALIA, ON) - Sept. 20, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Huron County OPP responded to a serious motor vehicle collision, involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger van, at London Road and Huron Park Road in Centralia.
As a result of the collision involving the van, a 36-year-old resident of Ayr was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other passenger, a 31-year-old of Goderich, was airlifted to a trauma centre with serious, life-threatening injuries.
The Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team is assisting the Huron County OPP with the investigation.
The intersection was initially closed, but has since been re-opened.
The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been laid at this time.
