Purple Grove news
Another week has just sailed on by, and the beautiful weather has been wonderful for a few extra swims in the lake!
More birthday celebrations, for little Robbie Finnie who was two years old and happy to have his grandparents visiting at the time. Also, Ruth Harris was one year old, Sept. 11; and belated birthday wishes to Dorothy Needham, Diane McCulloch, Dave Lochhead, and Callie Van Dyke!
The family of John and Joyce Farrell hosted a gathering at their home to wish their grandson, John Leis, a happy 10th birthday on the weekend.
Rick and Brenda Cliffe also celebrated their wedding anniversary last week.
We extend our sympathy to the families in our communities in the loss of family members. We grieve with the families of Marie Colling, Marie Scott of Lucknow, and Cecile Pineault of Kincardine. May those precious memories of good days spent with family and friends, comfort you in the days ahead.
Congratulations to the Kincardine community for participating in Welcoming Week, with information about organizations and businesses available for newcomers to the community.
A big thank you and congratulations to the Handbags for Hospice gala committee for another very successful event, raising funds for Huron Shores Hospice
Congratulations to the Lucknow Agricultural Society for a successful fall fair, with exhibits and exhibitor numbers increasing! Congratulations also to the new senior ambassador, Queenie Pentland, and junior ambassador, Evelyn Scott.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Ripley-Huron Fall Fair this weekend! Come and see our Purple Grove Women's Institute in the social room for coffee and muffins!
