Kincardine fall yard waste depots to open Oct. 10
The Municipality of Kincardine’s fall yard waste depots are set to open Friday, Oct. 10, and will remain open until Monday, Nov. 10.
Residents are asked to place all yard waste in brown paper leaf bags and ensure that the bags are placed inside the bins. For everyone’s convenience, bins will be switched out on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. If you arrive and the bin is full, wait until it has been emptied before dropping off your yard waste. You may also take yard waste to the
Kincardine Waste Management Centre year-round, free of charge.
Depot locations:
- Town of Kincardine – 520 Bruce Avenue (three bins available)
- Village of Tiverton – McLaren Street, behind the arena (one bin available)
For a full list of acceptable materials or information about the waste management centre, visit the Kincardine
Yard Waste and Composting web page.
Things to know:
- Always use brown paper leaf bags
- Walk your bags into the back of the bin first, working forward
- Make sure the doors can close without the need for machinery to push waste inside
- Never leave yard waste outside the bins or blocking the doors
- If a bin is full, wait until it has been emptied before adding your waste
By following these steps, you’re helping ensure the depots operate as smoothly as possible.
