Kincardine driver seriously injured in collision; Bruce County Road 1 re-opened
(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) - Bruce County Road 1 has been re-opened, following an overnight collision and closure.
Oct. 13, at about 8:30 p.m., the South Bruce OPP, Bruce County Paramedic Services and Huron-Kinloss Fire and Emergency Services were called to the accident, involving a farm tractor and a pick-up truck and trailer. Both vehicles were northbound on the county road when the tractor was struck from behind.
The operator of the tractor, a 29-year-old resident of Kincardine, was air-lifted to a London-area trauma centre with serious injuries.
The county road was closed between Bruce County Road 6 and Grey Ox Avenue, but has since been re-opened. The investigation continues; no charges have been laid at this time.
