Former Kincardine police officer, Ross Priebe, dies at the age of 92
Ross James Priebe, formerly of Kincardine died Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, in Kitchener, in his 93rd year.
He was a well-known constable with the Listowel and Kincardine police departments, from 1968-83, and briefly operated a car-detailing shop in Kincardine.
He moved from Kincardine to London, then to Strathroy and finally, to Kitchener.
Ross loved being a police officer for the town’s people and all things cars - inside out, top to bottom. At one time, he had one of the largest hubcap collections around. He also enjoyed good old-fashioned fiddle music and dancing up a jig at jamborees around Bruce County.

Survived by his long-time friend, Thelma Donald of Strathroy.
Father of Gloria (Dan) Threndyle of Kincardine, Raymond of Kitchener, Bonnie of Dodsland, Alberta, and Steve (Deirdre) of Toronto.
Grandfather of Chad, Lyndsay, Harrison, Brennan, and Alana; and great-grandfather of eight.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date and location to be announced.
