Luke Bedard is new Kincardine community services director
Luke Bedard (above) is the new community services director for the Municipality of Kincardine, following the retirement of Jayne Jagelewski at the end of September.
At the Sept. 24 Kincardine council meeting, Jagelewski was thanked for her four years as community services director with the municipality.
“Thank you for your service here,” said mayor Kenneth Craig. “We look forward to working with Luke Bedard in the community services department.”
Bedard said taking on this new job has been very exciting, and he has been greeted with a warm welcome and gracious hospitality over the past month.
“I have quickly learned that the community is full of intelligent people who are passionate about recreation,” he said. “A wonderful thing about the director position is helping provide services that allow friends, families and once-strangers the opportunity to make meaningful connections and lasting memories.
"I look forward to working alongside groups, organizations, volunteers and staff to continue advancing community services for residents and visitors in the community.”
