​Kincardine Scottish Festival honours volunteers at appreciation event

The Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games welcomed a good crowd to the volunteer appreciation event, held Saturday afternoon at the Bruce Steakhouse in downtown Kincardine.

Recognition awards were presented to four outstanding volunteers: Lisa Moore, Robert Poyner, Andrew MacKinnon and Sierra Glazier.

Festival president Tony Doherty thanked all the volunteers for their hard work and dedication.

“We appreciate all that you do,” he said. “We couldn’t run this event without you.”

On behalf of the festival, Doherty also presented a $500 donation to Canadian Tire Kincardine for the Jump Start program.
