Betty Kirkland of Lucknow dies at the age of 84
Betty Ann Kirkland, beloved wife of the late David A. Kirkland, of Lucknow, died at Pinecrest Manor, Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025 at the age of 84.
Born Dec. 6, 1940, in West Wawanosh Township, she was the daughter of the late Rozella (Phillips) and Norman McDonald.
Mother of Annette (Henry) Hendriks and Suzanne (Doug) Blake, all of Lucknow.
Greatly missed by her grandchildren, Peter Hendriks (Tina Wark), Kara Hendriks (Brandon Stackhouse), Andrew (Nicole) Blake, Shauna Blake (Troy Read) and Shelby Blake; and one great-granddaughter, Betty Hendriks.
Also survived by her sister, Louise (Ralph) Small of Waterloo; brothers, Bill and Wayne McDonald, both of Lucknow; sisters-in-law, Joan (Gary) Lacey of Leamington and Nancy (Gordon) Folkard of Belgrave; and brother-in-law, Ken (Katherine) Kirkland of Milton.
Predeceased by her brother-in-law, Donald Kirkland.
Betty and David farmed for many years in both West Wawanosh Township and Ashfield Township. She was also a long-time member of the Lucknow Presbyterian Church.
The funeral will be held at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025 at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior.
Interment, Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow.
