Quinn Potts of Kincardine dies at the age of 26
Quinn Potts of Kincardine, died suddenly and unexpectedly, at her home, Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at the age of 26.
Dearly missed by many members of her close family, including her mother, Julie Potts; her sister, Reese Potts; her brother, Ben Potts (Tracey); her nephew, Mason Potts; and niece, Elloise Potts; her beloved Granny Sheila MacKay (Callum); her Aunt Amy Raine (Derek); her Uncle Don Marshall (Katie); and special cousins, Ewan Raine, Ailey Raine and Merit Gaudreault.
After graduating from Western University in 2022, Quinn settled in Kincardine to pursue her engineering career. Her keen attention to detail at work transferred to the hobbies she enjoyed, such as card-making, challenging jigsaw puzzles and adult lego.
Her overflowing bookshelves are evidence of a love of books and reading. Quinn was a true fan of all things “Harry Potter,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Gilmore Girls.” She also enjoyed hiking at Inverhuron Park, beach volleyball and going to the gym. You could often see her outside ‘walking’ her best feline friend, George. She sure loved that cat!
Most recently, Quinn decided to train for a 10-kilometre run. Oct. 19, 2025, she placed first in her division at the Pinery Fall Classic Race. She was a beautiful, strong and effortless runner.
She always looked forward to spending time with her very special friends in Toronto. She was so lucky to have found this wonderful group at university. She would often recount events of evenings out, fun activities and their travel experiences. These friends became, and remained, incredibly important to her.
Quinn enjoyed all family gatherings. She never missed a Christmas, Thanksgiving or special birthday. We will forever miss her quiet, witty presence and her big smile.
A private memorial service was held Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, in place of flowers, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
