Bruce County’s Cultural Directory makes its debut
The Bruce County Cultural Directory is the official on-line location for connecting creative talent with organizations, event planners, and community initiatives. The new directory is now live at
culture.brucecounty.on.ca!
An initiative resulting from the Cultural Action Plan, the directory was built by the county in partnership with 211 Ontario. An announcement about the directory’s forthcoming launch was part of the Common Ground Cultural Symposium, Oct. 8, in Chesley.
“We’re thrilled to see this project go live,” said Brooke McLean, director of library services and chairperson of the Cultural Action Plan committee. “The directory bridges the gap between those who offer creative services and those who seek them.”
For those planning events, the directory makes it easier to discover, hire, and collaborate with talent. Artists, performers, and cultural practitioners of all crafts, ages, backgrounds and levels of experience may register for a listing at
culture.brucecounty.on.ca/register.
“We know that our vibrant and diverse culture shapes the unique identity of Bruce County,” said warden Luke Charbonneau. “By creating connections between local organizers and talent through this directory, we’re making it easier to enhance events across the community.”
