Ripley Wolves on winning streak at home and on the road
The Ripley Wolves are on a winning streak, trouncing the opposition at home and on the road over the past month, in the Ontario Elite Hockey League.
Saturday night, the Wolves travelled to Creemore and gave the Coyotes their second drubbing in a week, by an 11-3 score.
It was a four-goal night for Ripley’s Cody Britton which set the tone for the game. Joining Britton in the goal-scoring parade, were Ethan Skinner (2), Garrett Meurs, Gerrit Satosek, Christian Monachino, Carter Servais, and Kaden Hoggarth.
Assists went to Meurs (5), Britton (2), Servais (2), Tyson Soers, Mike Howes, Jordan Moulton, Hoggarth, and Monachino.
Goalie Jason Hamilton stopped 29 of 32 shots in the Wolves’ net for the win.
The first defeat against Creemore was a week ago, when the Wolves took a bite out of the Coyotes, 9-1, Sunday afternoon, Nov. 16, at the Ripley Arena.
The Wolves potted three in the first period and five in the second to cruise to their second consecutive 9-1 victory in OEHL action.

Wolves goals were scored by Britton (2), Meurs (2), newly-signed Keaton McLaughlin, Servais, Soers, Dan Nicoloff, and Dawson Fahrer.
Assists went to Meurs (4), Fahrer (2), Britton (2), Pat Looby (2), Ethan Skinner, Derek Skinner, Hoggarth, Taylor Woolcott, Austin Waite, Satosek, and Servais.
Goalie Ryan Wheeler got the win in the Wolves net, stopping 31 of 32 shots, while the Wolves fired 61 on the Coyotes net.

Nov. 8, the Wolves downed Muskies, 9-1, in Shelburne.
Though the game was tied after one period, the Wolves poured it on from there, firing 55 shots on former teammate Gatlin Burt en route to the victory.
Nicoloff led the way with a hat-trick, while Moulton scored a pair. Other scorers were Britton, Jordan Beisel, Servais, and Meurs. Assists went to Ethan Skinner (3), Monachino (2), Satosek (2), Britton (2), Mike Howes, Fahrer, Looby, Hoggarth, Servais and Meurs.
Goalie Garrett Golley stopped 28 of 29 shots for the win in the Wolves net.
And Nov. 1, in Elmvale, the Wolves shut out the Harvesters, 6-0.
Hamilton stopped all 48 shots on net for the shut-out.
Ripley's goals were scored by Looby, Ethan Skinner with a pair, Hoggarth, Meurs and Servais.
Assists went to Beisel, Satosek, Evan Visser, Servais, Looby, and Meurs and Nicoloff with two assists each.
The Wolves remain on the road next Saturday, Nov. 29, when they head to Minto for the first time since the 81s completed the sweep against Ripley in the OEHL final this past spring. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m.
The 81s then make a return trip to Ripley, Saturday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. Santa will be in the building to greet families from 3-6 p.m., while the Wolves players will take part in public skating from 5:30-6:30 p.m., so come early and let the Big Guy know what you want under the tree and stay for what will be an exciting game.
