Kincardine Horticultural Society creates beautiful table centres for Christmas
It seems that winter is upon us now and the extent of our gardening is for indoor plants. Some members of the Kincardine Horticultural Society, I am sure, will have the most beautiful Christmas cactus and Amaryllis.
The group gathered for appetizers, Monday, to celebrate the end of the gardening season. Lots of good food was consumed and at the same time, everyone got busy and created the most beautiful table centres. Small poinsettias of different colours were the focus of these creations.
We need to take the time to thank our president and executive for bringing us the greenery and all the things we needed to do this craft. We will be enjoying these on our dining room tables this month.

The executive worked hard through 2025, bringing us very informative and educational speakers. The garden tour committee also worked hard to find more beautiful gardens for our annual tour. This is not an easy feat as I believe these “Through the Garden Gate” tours have been going on for close to 30 years. This, along with our plant sale, are the fund-raisers keeping us in the black to continue for another year.
Keeping our gardening thoughts in mind will help us through the long winter.

Happy Holiday Season to all!
