Former Bruce Township reeve and Bruce County warden dies at age 98
John Henderson MacKenzie of RR 3, Tiverton, died at Tiverton Park Manor, Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016. He was 98.

Beloved husband of Janet MacKenzie (née Reid). Missed by his nephew, Alex McCulloch; great-nephew, Andy McCulloch; and great-niece, Mary Shouldice.

Loving step-father of Carmen Gossell, Cora Lee Dobson, Barbara Poole and Betty Johnston. Cherished by 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Also missed by his good friend, Joan McCulloch.

Predeceased by his first wife, Anita (née MacKinnon - 1959); and sisters, Edna, Grace and Margaret.

John was reeve of Bruce Township for 29 years and warden of Bruce County in 1962.

Visitation will be held at the Knox Presbyterian Church - Tiverton, Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, from Noon to 2 p.m., where the funeral will follow at 2 p.m., with Rev. Ruth MacLean officiating.

Spring interment, Tiverton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Knox Presbyterian Church - Tiverton as expressions of sympathy. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine.
