Kincardine council approves almost $70,000 in community investment grants
Kincardine council has approved $69,000 in community investment grants to local sports, as well as other youth, arts and cultural organizations.
The report was brought forward by clerk Jennifer Lawrie, at the Feb. 25 council meeting.
The grants include $25,000 for youth sports, to be distributed in the fall as per the youth sports formula; and $44,000 to the remaining applicants, as per the recommendation from the committee which included deputy mayor Andrea Clarke, and councillors Rory Cavanagh and Amanda Steinhoff-Gray.
