Forty-nine-year-old man dead after collision south of Port Elgin
(PORT ELGIN, ON) - A 49-year-old man is dead after the SUV he was driving and a pick-up truck were involved in a head-on collision on Highway 21, south of Port Elgin, Tuesday evening.
March 31, at 5:23 p.m., members of the South Bruce OPP responded to reports of a collision on Highway 21, just north of Concession 2, in the Town of Saugeen Shores.
The driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck has been released from hospital with minor injuries.
Highway 21 was closed for several hours but has since been re-opened.
Members of the South Bruce OPP and the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team continue to investigate.
