UBC Local 2222 wins Golden Sock in Kincardine Lots of Socks event
UBC Local 2222 has won the Golden Sock award in the Community Living of Kincardine and District Lots of Socks window decorating contest.
Each year, staff at local businesses and organizations decorate their windows with colourful socks and meaningful messages of inclusion in support of World Down Syndrome Day.
Photos of the decorated windows are submitted and members of the community vote for their favourite display. The window with the most votes wins the coveted Golden Sock award.
Congratulations to UBC Local 2222 for winning the contest and bringing awareness about World Down Syndrome Day!
A shout-out to the runner-up, the South Bruce OPP; and to the third-place winner, Queen Street Vet.
This fun and engaging event would not be possible without the support from the community. Thank you to the Lots of Socks models, event photographer Jamie Edwards, everyone who participated, and to Bruce Power which donated the printing of the posters and portraits.
