Tiverton Winterfest welcomes great crowd for church, chili, skating, painting and fiddle music
Sunday was a great day for Tiverton Winterfest, as crowds turned out for church, chili, skating, painting and fiddle music.

The second day of the weekend event began with a worship service and chili luncheon at Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton. Much appreciation to the Hutton Family, Knox Church and all the volunteers for a delicious meal.

The afternoon featured a Family Fun Skating Party at the Tiverton Arena, with a crowd of youngsters and adults skating, painting on the ice, and enjoying free hot dogs, courtesy of the Tiverton Lions Club.

Then, the main event of the day was a program of "Fiddle Tunes and Folk Songs," by the Eliza Jane fiddle group, with Debbie Morris, Kenny McFarlane, Eldon McDowell, Bob Pilger, Larry Hunter, John MacDonald, Glenn MacKenzie, Jay Smith, Gerry Bailey, Mary Campbell, Jerry McNulty, Jamie Hunter, and Thales and Sappho Hunter.

Following an afternoon of music, singing and dancing, the crowd enjoyed a hot ham supper, sponsored by the Tiverton Agricultural Society.
