​Connor McKenzie of Australia fondly remembered by his family in Ripley and Pine River

Connor Scott McKenzie of Australia, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, in New Zealand at the age of 28.

Born Jan. 14, 1997, in Christchurch, New Zealand, he grew up in an international family, spending time in the Middle East, West Africa, Asia, Europe, New Zealand, Canada, and finally Australia, where he built a close community of friends and a life he loved.

He will be remembered for his gentle nature, his curiosity about the world, and the way he made people feel valued and understood.

Connor is deeply missed by his loving parents, Paul McKenzie (originally of New Zealand) and Jennie Scott-McKenzie of Ripley; his beloved sister, Abby McKenzie; his grandparents; and his extended family, including aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A private funeral service will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter.

Interment, Ripley Cemetery.
