​Roy Emberlin of Goderich, formerly of Lucknow, dies at the age of 87

Roy Elsworth Emberlin of Goderich, formerly of Lucknow, died at the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich, May 9, 2026, at the age of 87.

He was the loved husband of Betty (nee Miller) for 62 years.

Born in Lucknow, he was the son of the late Barbara (nee Soloman) and Frederick Emberlin.

Loving father of Dave (Brenda), and Debra (Mark Maeers).

Proud and adoring grandfather of Brittany (predeceased), Matt (Jordyn), and Kelly.

Dear brother of Douglas (predeceased), Dennis (predeceased), Ruth (predeceased), Paul (predeceased), Wendy (Ken Gardner), John Emberlin, Joy (Lou Jurgens), and Mary (Rick McGlynn); and loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.

The family extends a sincere thank you to all the wonderful and caring staff at One Care and to Dr. Michael Dawson. You are truly special people.

Cremation has taken place.

There will be no service, at Roy’s request; arrangements entrusted to the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow.
