​David Oldenburg of Sarnia, formerly of Amberley, dies at the age of 78

David Samuel Oldenburg of Sarnia, formerly of Amberley, died at Bluewater Health, Monday, April 27, 2026, at the age of 78.

Loving father of Shane Oldenburg of Sarnia; and dear brother of Bill Oldenburg, Darlene Withers and Beverly Peroff.

Predeceased by his brother, George; sister, Eunice; and his daughter, Jillian.

Dave retired from Bruce Power as a welder/inspector, was a member of Local 663 Sarnia, and had his own inspection company called Onspec.

He was also a proud friend of Bill W. for the past 28 yrs.

Cremation has taken place and his cremains will be interred in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Kingsbridge, with his daughter, Jillian, who died in 1981.
