The Morrison family is thrilled to invite the community to the highly-anticipated grand re-opening of the new Grassroots Farm Pizzeria, Saturday, June 13, at 760 Bruce County Road 86, just east of Lucknow.
This milestone event is both a thank you to the community that has supported Grassroots from the beginning, as well as the amazing team of local contractors, builders, farmers and food producers who helped make this dream a reality!
Run by the Morrison family - Blair, Courtney, Roger and Vicky - what started as a passion for local, home-grown ingredients and sharing the farm has blossomed into a true community meeting place.
Today, Grassroots Woodfired Pizza offers much more than just pizza on the farm. It includes various farm events, catering services, farm stays, and a Farm Store open daily on the property! This season also brings expanded pizzeria hours, with Grassroots now open Fridays and Saturdays from June through September.
Saturday's grand re-opening will feature the following activities:
Open house and builder meet-and-greet, 2-4 p.m. Guests are invited to take guided tours of the newly re-imagined pizzeria space. Come chat with the amazing local builders who contributed to the pizzeria build and meet some of the local farmers and food producers who provide the ingredients.
Ceremonial pizza-cutting, 4 p.m. Rather than a traditional ribbon-cutting, the family will host a unique ceremonial pizza-cutting. This will be accompanied by welcoming remarks to thank the community for its ongoing support.
Evening festivities, 4-8 p.m. The celebration continues into the evening where attendees can enjoy hot, wood-fired pizza, local beer-sampling, live music, and kids' activities!
Guests will also have the chance to win exciting door prizes, featuring contributions from both Grassroots and its local building partners!
"We are the family that is grateful to call Grassroots Farm home, and we pride ourselves on being a gathering place for our community," state the Morrisons. "We can't wait to welcome everyone to see all that we have been up to since you were last here in September!”
Wood-fired pizza, farm-fresh salads, artisan ice-cream sandwiches and the farm bar will be available throughout the day!
