Bruce County Public Library makes a splash with 2026 TD Summer Reading Club

Grab your scuba gear and dive into a summer of reading, discovery, and fun with the Bruce County Public Library’s 2026 TD Summer Reading Club.

This year’s theme explores the wonders of water through eight weeks of exciting programs, activities, and special events for children and families across the county.

The Summer Reading Club officially kicks off Saturday, June 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Sauble Beach Library with a day packed full of entertainment and family-friendly fun. Guests can enjoy a magical performance from The Amazing Andy, live music from folk duo Panzerotti and Sunshine, an author reading with Elly Mackay and a foam pit party to end the day! Pop in for all-day activities, such as face-painting, Cricut crafts and interactive activities and booths.

Registration opens June 27 at all 17 library branches. If patrons can’t make it to Sauble Beach, each branch will host its own Get Your Summer Read On! programs. Once registered, participants can track their reading using the Beanstack app, or a paper log available at their local branch.

Throughout the summer, children can earn ribbons and prizes by logging reading time and participating in activities. The program runs until Aug. 21, with chances to win additional prizes all summer long.

Families can visit their local branch for weekly themed programs and special events throughout the summer and all year round. You can pick up a brochure to find out themes, dates, times, and more. Brochures are also available to download from the library website at library.brucecounty.on.ca.
