The Walker House Museum in downtown Kincardine will be hosting a community sewing night, Saturday, Aug. 1, from 2-5:30 p.m.
The objective is to provide the Walker House with new seat cushions for the tavern room while also providing a community experience of collaborative craftsmanship.
This event is for all ages and should you chose to bring along your little ones, children (ages eight and under) will have their own table to learn the sewing basics, while those old enough will be working step-by-step by machine to create some cozy new seat cushions! Children must be accompanied by an adult.
You do not need prior experience to partake in this even unless you are interested in volunteering as a mentor.
Due to the demand of supplies and machinery, you will need to RSVP via E-mail or phone before July 11, at 519-396-1850 or thewalkerhousemuseum@gmail.com
Interested in volunteering and meet the requirements? Contact the Walker House as soon as possible for further information.
