It was a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning, as a great crowd gathered for the Kincardine Pride Parade.
Hundreds marched in the parade as it left the Sutton Park Mall plaza, making its way along Broadway to Queen Street, and through downtown Kincardine to Victoria Park. And this year, it didn't rain on the parade as hundreds watched from the sidelines.
The parade was led by various pipers and drummers, including members of the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band, followed by community groups and organizations, churches and businesses, politicians and unions, all sporting bright rainbow colours.
People then gathered in Victoria Park to show support for the 2SLGBTQIA-plus community, and to enjoy several activities, including the Kid Zone, children’s games, and a delicious barbecue put on by the Kincardine Lions Club. There were also a number of vendors in the park, and live music.
