Several Bervie Women’s Institute ladies and two very good little boys joined the Kingarf Anglican Church ladies for a tour of the Bervie Zoo, Wednesday afternoon.
The student tour guide did an excellent job of explaining the large variety of animals housed there by the Geddes family.
The W.I. ladies then went to the Bervie United Church for a short meeting. President Bev Berndt welcomed everyone and the group had the usual openings followed by the land acknowledgement.
The Roll Call, "Your favourite zoo animal," was answered. Betty Jean White read the minutes of the last meeting and Islay Eby gave the treasurer’s report. Sandra MacDonald provided the Sunshine Report.
The meeting closed with the closing Ode and “God Save the King.”
The next meeting will be a tour of Stone Bridge Flour, Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m. The ladies are to meet at Bervie United Church at 10 a.m. for a short meeting first.
