(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) - South Bruce OPP officers conducting proactive patrols stopped a driver travelling at dangerously high speeds in Arran-Elderslie Township.
Thursday, July 16, at 8:46 a.m., a member of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team was patrolling Grey-Bruce Line in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie when a vehicle was observed travelling at 163 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
The vehicle was stopped, and the driver, a 22-year-old of Kitchener, was charged with the following offences:
Drive motor vehicle - perform stunt
Speeding 50-plus km/h over posted limit
A 30-day driver's licence suspension and a 14-day vehicle impoundment were initiated, with the driver facing a future court date.
