Kincardine Legion hosts annual public speaking competition

Almost 20 young people gathered at the Kincardine Legion Hall for the annual public speaking competition, Saturday morning.

The judges listened carefully to all the speeches and came up with the following results:

Storytelling - Grades 1-3

1st - Gabriella Geberdt
2nd - Joseph Weerasinghe
3rd - Dorothy Radford

Junior - Grades 4-6
 

1st - Devony House
2nd - Jada Nicholson
3rd - Bennett Janes

Intermediate - Grades 7-8


1st - Maya Hunter
2nd - Samantha Castillo
3rd - Bingham Tudor

All of the contestants did a terrific job in preparing and giving their speeches. The first-place winners will go on to the Legion Zone C-1 public speaking competition next month.
