About 40 children attend Progressive Agriculture Safety Day in Tiverton

About 40 children attended the Bruce County Federation of Agriculture's Progressive Agriculture Safety Day, Tuesday, July 14, at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre in Tiverton.

Dianne Atkinson organized the program for the kids to learn about farm and community safety. The children rotated through six stations to learn about being safe. Each station presenter led them through activities to make the learning fun which helps the children remember much more of the message that is being taught.

Progressive Agriculture Safety Days have been held across Bruce County for more than 25 years. This year, programs have already been held in Teeswater and Tiverton, with the final one being held in Paisley, July 28.

All programs are open to the public for children, ages five to 10, and not limited to farming families. If you know of children who would benefit from the Safety Day Program, keep them in mind. Parents are welcome to stay and participate with their children.
