Police assist with road closure at barn fire in Municipality of South Bruce

(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) - July 29, at 7:21 a.m., South Bruce OPP officers responded to the report of a barn fire on Concession 4 in the Municipality of South Bruce.

While firefighters from the South Bruce Fire Department, along with crews from up to 10 additional fire departments from Bruce and Huron counties, worked to extinguish the blaze, police assisted by maintaining road closures and helping ensure the safety of emergency personnel and the public.

Concession 4 remained closed for much of the day as fire suppression operations continued. Police stopped several vehicles for disobeying the road-closure signs.

No injuries were reported.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious. Any further inquiries regarding the fire and its investigation should be directed to the South Bruce Fire Department.
