To the Editor:
I am looking for anyone who remembers Frank Baker of the Kincardine, Tiverton, Inverhuron and Ripley areas. I am his daughter, Cheryl, and I am seeking stories from people who remember him when he lived in the area or who worked with him at Ontario Hydro (now Ontario Power Generation and Bruce Power), to put in his 90th birthday Memoire Book.
Dad lived in the Kincardine area from 1959 to 2006. He lived in and around the Tiverton area in the 1940s, and he was a Scout leader in Tiverton.
He and my Mom (Carlene) lived in Tiverton in the early 1960s and then moved to Kincardine around the 1970s. They spent most of their life on Alice Street, Kincardine.
My Dad was active with the Kincardine Community Singers and the Kincardine United Church. He and Mom curled at the Kincardine Curling club in the 1970s.
Dad grew up at the "Boss Castle" outside of Ingersoll.
We are having an open house to celebrate his 90th birthday, Oct. 3, from 1-4 p.m., at the clubhouse in the Villages of Long Point Bay.
If you have a story or two, or would like to attend, please send me an E-mail message at cljohnston@live.ca.
