Hope everyone had fun on Family Day! The family of John and Joyce Farrell came to visit and enjoyed playing in the snow, checking out the animals, and doing chores with their grandparents.

Thank you to the Ripley community ladies who helped tie quilts in the basement of St. Andrew's United Church in Ripley, Monday. We have 20 quilts put together and ready for local community needs.
We are sorry to hear that RVilla had to cancel the Wellness Fair which was slated for Feb. 26.
Wednesday afternoon, the Ripley and District Horticultural Society held its February meeting at the Legion. Catrina McQuail of Lucknow spoke of her experiences with eXXpedition sailing in the Atlantic Ocean in December. It was amazing to see how much plastic garbage is in our oceans and waterways! Also, Saturday, the Ripley Horticultural Society's Youth Club started its season with poster-making for the upcoming District OHA convention.
Sympathy to Judy Work Lowry, her husband, Rob, and their family, on the death of her father, Graham Work. Sympathy, as well, to Bernice Martyn McLennan on the death of her son, Scott, and to all the Stanley connection. Also, sympathy to the family of Wayne McLean who passed away Saturday.
A good crowd was in attendance for the Legion’s monthly meat draw and card party.
Congratulations to CKNX. The first time the station went on the air was Feb. 20, 1926 - 90 years ago. Our thanks to the broadcasters, inventors, musicians, and the many people who made CKNX radio and television such a major rural communication service in Ontario.
The Purple Grove community met at the home of Marilyn and Don Reid, Friday evening, for euchre and visiting.
