Fifth person arrested in drug raid in Arran-Elderslie

(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) - A fifth person has been arrested and charged in relation to a search warrant previously executed at an address on Concession 4 in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

Members of the South Bruce OPP have charged Robert RAPELJE, 25, of Arran-Elderslie with:

• Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition - two counts

• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 - five counts

• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000

• Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order - four counts

• Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Methamphetamine

The accused was held pending a bail hearing Aug. 20.

The arrest follows the previous execution of a warrant, Tuesday, July 28, in Arran-Elderslie, which resulted in the seizure of suspected illicit drugs, a firearm and ammunition, multiple vehicles, and offence-related property, including phones and construction equipment.
