Margaret Jessie Riggin of Chatham, formerly of Kincardine, died Sept. 13, 2026, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, just 13 days shy of her 76th birthday.
Predeceased by her beloved partner of 46 years, Jake Baylis.
Margie was the daughter of the late Mel and Florence (née Brown) Riggin of Kincardine and sister of the late Dennis (Shirley) Riggin of Kincardine and the late Sally Boileau (Ray) of Brantford, Mike (Helen Quinn) of Midland and Dave of Trenton, Nova Scotia.
As a young woman, Margie met Jake at the Southwestern Regional Centre. She chose a quiet life as an avid reader, master gardener, and homemaker for Jake. Her favourite sport was Retail Therapy.
Sincere thanks to the staff at Maples Retirement Living for their super care and support. Thank you, also, to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance medical team for its kindness and attention.
A very special thank you to the extended Baylis family for your love and support over the years.
Margie loved backyard barbecues with family most of all. She will be sorely missed by many nieces and nephews.
