Stanley Kenneth Johns of Kincardine, died peacefully at home, with family by his side, Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, at the age of 75.
Beloved husband of Lynne Rackley-Johns.
Loving father of Perry (Jacqueline) Johns.
Proud grandfather of Tyler, Carol (Kyle) and Kalvin.
Dear brother of Ray (Andrea) Johns, and Debbie Machan; and remembered by his mother-in-law, Yvonne Rackley; and brother-in-law, Dean (Tamis) Rackley.
Missed by his nieces and an extended family of aunties and cousins.
Stan spent a fulfilling 34-year career at Bruce Power (1974–2008), making numerous life-long friends.
Outside of work, his hands were never idle. He had a profound passion for vintage British cars, happily bringing home rusty wrecks, often in pieces, and masterfully restoring them to their former glory. There was always a restoration project in the garage, and he could turn his hand to fixing absolutely anything.
Though a master of many trades, Stan’s greatest accomplishment was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandad, brother, and friend who could always be counted on by those he loved.
Stan fought his recent illness with the same hard work, determination, strength, bravery, and optimism that defined his entire life.
Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Damian Gunaratne, Dr. Gary Gurbin, VON nurses Vicki and Rescha, for their exceptional compassion and kindness; it did not go unnoticed and will not be forgotten.
Cremation has taken place in accordance with Stan's wishes.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, from 1-4 p.m. at Cameron’s of Kincardine (formerly the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine).
Stan’s absence, by far, will be the heaviest weight we’ve ever had to carry.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Donations and condolences may be made on-line at www.cameronsofkincardine.com.
