If you're wondering why the west end of Victoria Park, Kincardine, is fenced off, it's for the construction of a new performance stage which will take about three to four weeks.
That's the word from the Municipality of Kincardine which states that the park will remain open during construction but people are asked to stay out of the fenced-off work area for their own safety.
The existing gazebo will be removed once the new stage is complete and operational. Depending on weather conditions, this work may take place in the spring.
Community services staff has removed one tree within the project area to accommodate the new stage and associated site improvements.
According to the municipality, this upgrade will preserve the character and green space of Victoria Park, while creating a modern, functional venue for generations to enjoy.
