Kincardine Sparks and Brownies visit Kincardine Veterinary Services
The Kincardine Sparks and Brownies toured Kincardine Veterinary Services, Tuesday, March 29, with veterinarian Dr. Allison Hooper and veterinary technician Julie Szydlowski.

The girls and their leaders had an opportunity to check out the quiet rooms where animals stay overnight if they have had surgery; the operating room; and the X-ray room. They dressed in surgical garb, bandaged toy animals, and put on heavy lead aprons in the X-ray room.

The units donated two bags of animal food to the clinic.

They also donated money to the Grey Bruce Aboriginal Qimmiq Team which travels to remote and semi-remote First Nations communities in northern Ontario, improving the health and wellness of the canine population there and providing community education. Hooper has been part of this volunteer team on a number of trips, along with other veterinarians, veterinary technicians and health care personnel. For more information, check the website at gbaqt.org/

The Sparks and Brownies also made a donation to local pet rescue. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
