Sold-out crowd celebrates Scottish bard at annual Robbie Burns Supper

It was a sold-out crowd Saturday night as about 170 people gathered at the Kincardine Legion to celebrate the Scottish bard, at the 21st annual Robbie Burns Supper.

Hosted by the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band, the event opened with the Piper's Welcome, played by Steve Wolfe.

John McManus welcomed everyone, and then Joan MacIntosh piped in the haggis, carried by Lisa Moore.

Scott Duncan gave a dramatic "Address to the Haggis," followed by Cathy Milne asking the grace, and a delicious roast beef dinner, complete with haggis.

After dinner, Jim Robinson gave the Immortal Memory to Robbie Burns; George Alderman offered the Toast to the Lassies, and Julie Fair replied.

The pipe band entertained, as did local singer Brontae Hunter, and the Haggis Toonie Toss was held.
