You’ll notice that a new fence has been put up on King Street, just south of Tiverton Park Manor. Over the winter, the old fence took a “beating” and was in need of replacement. The Municipality of Kincardine put a nice new fence and flower boxes in its place and it looks wonderful. Let’s hope the “beatings” will end. Thanks Scott!
TIVERTON LIONS GARAGE SALE
Are you doing your spring housecleaning? Running out of space? Do you have some treasures that needs a new home? Please remember to put aside your treasures to donate to the GARAGE SALE sponsored by the Tiverton Lions Club, to be held May 13-14. Donations accepted Wednesday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, May 12, from 6-9 p.m., and Friday, May 13, 9 a.m. to Noon., at the Tiverton Annex (next to Whitney Crawford Community Centre). Exceptions are upholstered furniture, large appliances, clothing and hazardous materials. Articles must be clean and in working order to get the best dollar value. Let's work together to make this fund-raiser the best ever! Spread the word to everyone you know! One man’s junk is another man’s treasure. Who said that?
May 29 is the Tiverton Lions’ Walk for Dog Guides, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Tiverton Lions Hall. This has been a successful and fun event so come and have a nice walk with friends. For information, call 226 222-1731.
Paint your own Canvas at the Art Party, directed by artist Susan Seitz, Friday, May 6 at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre, Tiverton, starting at 7 p.m., sponsored by Tiverton Baptist Church. Call 519-368-5206 for registration information as spots are limited.
Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton, and St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Glammis, will be hosting a "Come and Go Tea," Saturday, May 14, from 2-4 p.m., at Knox Church to meet with a minister who has accepted the invitation to "Preach for The Call," Sunday, May 15, at 10 a.m. The Sunday service will be followed by a congregational meeting and lunch.
Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Church will be holding lunch barbecues at Noon on the third Monday of the month, beginning Monday, May 16. Donation at the door, with all proceeds to go toward buying new chairs for the church activity room.
