Kincardine McHappy Day raises almost $10,000

McDonald's in Kincardine raised almost $10,000 at its annual McHappy Day event, held Wednesday, May 4, at the restaurant. All funds go toward Ronald McDonald Children's Charities.

The public was welcome to spin the wheel and win a prize, purchase tickets for a raffle, and buy some goodies, all operated by volunteers and celebrity servers, under the watchful eye of staff members Lynn Reilly and Cathy Ravell.

Besides these fund-raisers and a yard sale held in April, $1 from the purchase of every Big Mac, Happy Meal and McCafe hot beverage went toward the cause.

The total raised was $9,906.45.
