May 29, the Tiverton Lions will be holding their annual Walk for Dog Guides at the Tiverton Lions Hall. This has been a successful and fun event so come and have a nice walk with friends. Registration is at 12:30 p.m. with the walk beginning at 1 p.m. For information, call 226 222-1731.
Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Church is holding lunch barbecues at Noon on the third Monday of the month, beginning Monday, May 16. Donation at the door, with all proceeds to go toward buying new chairs for the Church Activity room.

Tiverton Park Manor had its annual version of the Kentucky Derby, Friday. Our winners were, for the first race - 1st place, Mildred with her horse Stripes; 2nd place, Irene G with her horse Fart in a Windstorm; and 3rd place, Edna with Aiken Joints. For the second race, our winners were - 1st place, Edna with Aiken Joints; 2nd place, Eileen Morris with Dead Last; and 3rd place, Verna with Flossy.
The list of contenders was: Aiken Joints, Dead Last, Fart in a Windstorm, Glue Foot, Hoof Hearted, Lickety Split,,Passing Wind, Stripes, Thunder Butt, Zehorse, and Flossy.
Good game, ladies. Love the hats and see you next year.
